Signing up takes about five minutes and needs no seed phrase, no browser extension, and no existing wallet.

What you need

An email address, or a Google account, or a wallet you already use. That is the whole list. XIO creates your vault wallet for you in the background.

The steps

1. Install the app. XIO runs as a web app you add to your home screen. Open app.xio.ai and follow the install prompt.

2. Sign in. Email one-time code, Google, or connect an existing wallet. Passkeys are for signing back in later, not for signing up.

3. Enter your invite code. Access is invite-gated while we are in early access. No code, and you can join the waitlist from the same screen.

4. Set up Lloyd. Name it, and choose how much independence it starts with. Supervised is the default: it proposes, you approve.

5. Secure the account. Add a second way in — this is your recovery path.

6. Bring it online. Review what you have set, and turn it on.

Recovery, and why there is no seed phrase

Your recovery is a second login method linked to the same account. Lose access to one, use the other.

Seed phrases move the entire burden of security onto you and are the single most common way people lose crypto. We do not issue one, and no part of XIO will ever ask you for one.
