How it works
Pausing and stopping
How to take control back, and what happens to open positions when you do.
Pause stops Lloyd from making new decisions, immediately. Your positions stay exactly as they are, and what happens to them is your call.
| Action | What it stops | Your open positions | Takes effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pause | New decisions and new orders | Stay open, stay yours | Immediately |
| Tighten limits | Anything outside the smaller bounds | Untouched | On the next decision |
| Trade manually | Nothing; it runs alongside Lloyd | Yours to manage directly | Immediately |
| Revoke signing | The agent placing any order at all | Stay open, stay yours | At the exchange |
Pausing halts new decisions and new orders. Open positions remain open and remain visible. Resting orders stay on the book unless you cancel them, and we do not clear them for you.
Start it again whenever you are ready. Lloyd picks up from the current state of the market, not from where it left off.
Tighten instead of stopping
Section titled “Tighten instead of stopping”Often the right move is not off, but smaller. Reducing the operator’s budget, narrowing the market universe, or lowering the leverage band all take effect on the next decision and need no signature, because they only ever restrict what the agent can do.
Take over manually
Section titled “Take over manually”You can trade manually at any time, whether Lloyd is running or paused. The manual surface is a full execution environment — it is not a fallback mode.
Revoke
Section titled “Revoke”Removing the operator’s signing authority stops it at the venue, not just in the app. After that, nothing XIO runs can place an order on your behalf, regardless of the state of our systems. Your vault is unaffected: it is a separate wallet and only you can withdraw from it.
